Theory Test Pro in partnership with Dave´s Driving Tuition

Choosing a driving school is probably the most important decision that you will have to make and can be a daunting prospect. A check on Google shows over 60 driving schools in the NEWTOWNABBEY area alone so how do you go about identifying the one to suit your needs?

By far the best method is a recommendation from a friend or relative who can give first-hand experience.

Recommendations supply us with approx 75% of our work, this is something that we are very proud of. We like to think that all our students are happy with the service and tuition that they receive and without their referrals we simply could not survive.

Nb. Dave´s Driving Tuition provide the DL1 form you need to obtain your provisional licence. Please contact Dave for your copy

Provisional Licence

Before you learn to drive, you must apply for a provisional driving licence.

You can apply by completing the DL1 application form which is available from main Post Office branches or MOT test centres.

You will need to enclose original documentation confirming your identity, a passport style colour photograph and the appropriate fee.

Send your completed application and payment to:

Driver & Vehicle Agency
Driver Licensing
Coleraine County Hall
Castlerock Road

Alternatively, you may submit your application at any one of the seven MOT test centres that provide a checking service. The test centres offering this service are situated in Armagh, Ballymena, Belfast , Downpatrick, Enniskillen, Londonderry (New Buildings) and Omagh or Coleraine County Hall..

The DVA aims to deliver your driving licence to you within three weeks of receiving your application.

You need to wait for your new licence to arrive before driving. Please allow at least three weeks for your licence to arrive before contacting the DVA.
